BD Wong is an American stage actor and entertainer who has been making forays into film and television since the mid Eighties. Whilst his stage appearances are admired by the more discerning but also more limited theatre-going audiences of New York, his television work in Oz and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit has reached a far wider global audience.

24 June 2009 .......... BD Wong returns to Celebrity Autograph for Gay Pride edition
BD Wong will join a special one night engagement of Celebrity Autograph, on Friday, June 26 at Off-Broadway's Gramercy Theater. The event is Celebrity Autograph: In Their Own Words: Gay Pride Edition, in which the words of prominent gay icons will be read by an all-star cast of performers.

Musicals
BD Wong was one of the star performers at this years 12
hour marathon 'Wall to Wall', at the Peter Jay Sharp
Theatre at 2537 Broadway @ 95th St, New York City. BDW
performed "Coconut Girl" from The Girl Who Came to Supper,
reportedly to a standing ovation.

Tickets for this years West Coast run of Herringbone are
now available via the La Jolla website. Prices range from
US $30-$65, with performance scheduled for Tuesdays and
Wednesdays at 7:30pm, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm,
Saturdays at 2:00pm & 8:00pm and Sundays 2:00pm and
7:00pm.
Herringbone runs from August 1 to August 30, 2009 at the
Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.

Herringbone Closes
BD Wong's Herringbone completed its scheduled run on 12 October.
BDWong.com opens ... nearly.
BD Wong's official website was launched mid-way through the Herringbone run, but immediately ran into some technical glitches. Unlike this website, which uses off-the-peg templates, Wong opted for a more professional LINUX built site.
The colorful website is visible, but so far lacks any content. The website is otherwise very distinctly designed, with an 'accordion' menu system (you'll see what I mean when you look at it) with such interesting headers as 'News' and 'Journal'.
HERRINGBONE OPENS!
Herringbone kicked off McCarter's 2008-2009 season on 5 September 2008 (previews), opening officially on 12 September in the Centre's Berlind Theatre. The show has a six week run, including two shows a day at weekends.
BD Wong begins final week of rehearsals
BD Wong began final rehearsals for Herringbone on 28th August.

2008 Asian Excellence Awards
BD Wong will be attending this years Asian Excellence Awards. The Asian Excellence Awards honour the outstanding achievements of Asians and Asian Americans in film, television, music, and the performing arts, and are broadcast nationally in the US on the E! Entertainment channel on May 1st, 2008.
Wong has been nominated in the OUTSTANDING TELEVISION ACTOR category for his work on Law and Order SVU. Other nominees include Naveen Andrews, Daniel Dae Kim and Masi Oka. The awards will be held on April 23, at the Royce Hall, UCLA

BD Wong has started his ten day run in the one man show Herringbone, the opening production of the 2007 Williamstown Theatre Festival.
BDW is backed by an award winning team, including William Ivey for costume design, and Dance Choreographer Darren Lee.

Oz: The Complete Sixth Season
BD Wong filming in China
BD Wong has been cast to play in a new mini-series for Hallmark, to be recorded on location in China.
The Discovery of the World is an epic four hour costume drama about the life of Marco Polo. Filming is set to start on June 14, the result of which being most of his scheduled public appearances for June and July have had to be cancelled.
The series will be filmed at the Hengdian World Studios in Zhengjian province, and on location in China and Mongolia.
